Brock's Kitchen

As part of the App Development Project module in Nanyang Polytechnic, I was required to team up with others to work on a full-stack Flask web application. The main theme for this application would be sustainability and as such, after careful brainstorming, my team and I decided on adapting the idea of a sustainable meal kit service.

As the leader of the team, I had extra responsibilities in addition to working towards finishing the project. I had to manage and schedule meetings with team members. Additionally, I had to plan and design the initial layout of our codebase so that it would be easy for the team to work on. We eventually overcame this barrier by making compromises to ensure that we had enough time to complete the project.

This project was conducted during a period of time where not every team member had much free time to work on the project. Therefore, one major challenge we faced was trying to find time to meet up together to discuss and work on the project.

Overall, the project was a success because we were able to complete it, implementing not just all the features but even additional features like an AI chatbot and analytics dashboard! Furthermore, the project was nominated by the school lecturers for distinction.
